The pattern: know your monthly cost of living (the actual number, not a rough sense), make the farm fund its own growth, find your flywheel crop, grow slow on purpose, keep off-farm income as a launchpad not a crutch, and when it's time for the big move — walk into a lender with numbers, not projections.
Off-farm income isn't a sign the farm failed. It's how you build the position to go full-time as a choice, not a gamble.
