Our hormonal balance decides what sort of mood we will have. Whether we are feeling relaxed, joyful, happy or we are feeling low, lethargic, and moody, it all depends on whether our hormones are in balance or not. Deep breathing exercises and meditation bring a balance to these chemicals and calm down our minds.
Moreover, they also increase the production of serotonin and dopamine, the joy-inducing hormones, making us feel positive, optimistic, happier, and relaxed. Practicing these exercises every day will ensure that we can better handle the changing situations in front of us.
Facilitator:
Simone – In her professional life, Simone supports people with disability to be empowered, to get the support they require and to have their voices heard. Outside of work, she loves to move, dance and be outdoors in nature. Simone has been a yoga teacher since 2018 and has over 800 hours of training. Simone believes sharing this knowledge and practise is a gift that she is immensely grateful for!
Operating in 154 countries, The Art of Living Foundation (AOLF) is a non-profit, educational and humanitarian organisation founded in 1981 by the world-renowned humanitarian and spiritual teacher Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. All of AOLF’s programs are guided by Sri Sri’s philosophy: “Unless we have a stress-free mind and a violence-free society, we cannot achieve world peace.”
The AOLF community is diverse and attracts people from all walks of life backgrounds and religious orientations.
"The Art of Living is more of a principle, a philosophy of living life to its fullest. It is more a movement than an organisation. Its core value is to find peace within oneself and to unite people in our society – of different cultures, traditions, religions, nationalities; and thus reminding us all that we have one goal to uplift human life everywhere."
