I AM AN ADULT AND MAKE CONTENT FOR ADULTS
This one is inspired by a throw away line from one of the first Broken Code books. Imposter!Bramble is pestering Alderheart for more poppyseeds, which Alderheart initially refuses, stating, "You've already had a lot." Imposterstar snarls at him something along the line of "but I'm still in pain, I NEED more." I thought this was a really interesting concept, but of course it was never brought up again.
For those who don't know, poppy seeds contain trace amounts of opiates. Not enough to get high, but for fantasy's sake that's what helps the cats numb pain. I recognize that this is a series of tween/teen books, but the books are full of graphic descriptions of violence and injury, birth, cults and demons/hell/heaven stuff, so I really don't think that this topic of drug abuse/addiction is much of a stretch. (In the video itself, I tried to imply it rather than show it, which is why there aren't like, trippy colors or a "high vision" or anything. Also out of respect, because addiction is real and the concept even in fantasy should be treated responsibly. )
Wanting to do something with this theme, I naturally thought about Goosefeather. Most Goosefeather content features him isolated from his peers and succumbing to his curse so I wanted to imply that taking the poppy seeds would get rid of StarClan's influence which helps him function somewhat normally, which would allow him to mend his relationships with his sister and gain respect from ThunderClan once he is no longer receiving prophecy radio transmissions.
But, of course, that's not how it happens.
