As South Metro Fire Rescue prepares for the upcoming Change of Command Ceremony, Chief Bob Baker would like to extend his heartfelt thanks to our community members for your unwavering support throughout his time as Fire Chief.
Chief Baker began his fire service career in 1984 as a firefighter with the Parker Fire Protection District. Over the past 40 years, he has dedicated himself to protecting and serving more than half a million residents across what is now South Metro Fire Rescue’s district.
Throughout his career, Chief Baker has led with integrity, vision, and a deep commitment to public safety. As he concludes over four decades of service, his legacy is one of unity, innovation, and a steadfast dedication to the people and communities he served.
