At 1:11 a.m. on Thursday, August 14, 2025, South Metro Fire Rescue and Arapahoe County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a commercial structure fire at 11001 E. Arapahoe Place in Centennial.
The building houses four businesses: Bawarchi Indian Cuisine, Happy Paw Grooming, Baker’s Inn, and Vi Vi Vietnamese Noodle Soup & Grill. The fire began in the kitchen of Bawarchin Indian Cuisine, causing significant fire damage to the kitchen and roof. The other three businesses sustained smoke and water damage. Due to the extent of the damage, the City of Centennial’s building inspector has deemed the property uninhabitable, and all four businesses will remain closed until further notice.
Crews located additional active fire on the roof during secondary search and continued overhaul and ventilation efforts. Deputies found a rear door open but noted no signs of forced entry or suspicious activity.
Fifty SMFR personnel and crews from 10 different SMFR fire stations worked to bring the fire under control by 2:53 a.m. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation by SMFR’s Fire Marshal’s Office.
