This is my 4-mallet marimba arrangement of Home from UNDERTALE.

Revisiting an older arrangement feels a lot like reconnecting with an old friend. I originally arranged this song in 2019 and recorded it with an old iPhone (didn't even use any mics for audio yikes), then I re-recorded it in 2021 audio-only just for streaming services (along with a couple slight changes here or there to the arrangement). I've come to realize over the past few years that my YouTube audience and Spotify audience are entirely different, so I decided to upload the nicer audio recording here!
I did of course give this recording the V-Ron 2024 mixing/mastering treatment, so I can proudly say this is my favorite version of this arrangement. I thought about trying to record a new video that was "close enough" to the audio recording, but between tempo changes and roll speeds I decided it wouldn't meet my accuracy standards and opted to keep this one to an audio-only experience this time.
One of my goals for 2024 is to finish re-mastering all of my old arrangements for a big compilation album, so let me know if you'd be interested in more remastered videos like this as I'm working towards that goal!
