This is @vwtrombone50's and my collaboration arrangement of Bicycle from Pokémon Gold and Silver. We arranged this song for the @GameGrooves Goldenrod Citypop double album project (this track is on the Silver Version).

It's always fun when I get to co-arrange something with my father, especially when it's from Pokémon Gen II aka the favorite gen for both of us! HGSS is my favorite game of all time, so when GameGrooves announced a Gen II album I was immediately hyped to join the project and I'm so glad Dad got to join in on this one.
When it comes to co-arranging, Dad and I sat down and discussed style (inspired by early Casiopea) and form for the song. Since it's a short tune, we decided to treat it like the head of a standard and then Dad worked on beefing up the chords for solo sections. I worked on the drum groove and then added some other rhythmic edits too. Since citypop has lots of electronic synths, we opted to program both the keyboards and the drums for this one. (I split the drum set into two parts - cymbals and then drums - so even though it's programmed, it's still playable as you can see from my videos!) Dad was originally going to play both of the keyboard parts, but we ended up liking how they sounded programmed without any midi recording so I found a pretty cool piano visualizer to use for those parts instead (including gold and silver colors!). This sadly meant that Dad wouldn't be playing any parts in the video, but this arrangement wouldn't have been possible without him (I consider him the primary arranger here) so he's certainly here in spirit!
