With the new Home Server in place, I discovered that my backups were failing because I was running out of space. Windows Server 2012 Essentials makes use of Storage Pools and I configured two separate ones: one for data and one for backups.
In this video, I'm adding a 2TB Western Digital Red drive to my server, which maxes out the available SATA plugs on the motherboard. I'm also configuring the software (which is really easy to do).
