What do you when doing things your way leaves you empty?
In Luke 15, Jesus tells the story of a son who wanted his inheritance and wanted his own way. He left home, wasted what he had and ended up empty, hungry and broken. But the story does not end in shame. It turns around when the son comes to his senses and decides to go home. Repentance is not about proving we are worthy. It is about returning to the Father with humility and honesty.
The Father’s love is greater than rebellion, and His grace is greater than pride. Bad behavior and religious performance can both distort how we see Him, but repentance opens the door to His love, His grace and His restoration.
