What standard are you living by?
In Joshua 1, God calls His people to be strong and courageous by holding tightly to His Word. Through the victory at Jericho and the defeat at Ai, we are reminded that God’s standard is not meant to restrict us, but to keep us anchored when life gets hard and when compromise starts to pull us away.
Living the standard is not about pretending we never struggle or reducing holiness to a list of obvious sins. It is about letting the Word of God shape our choices, our attitudes, our time, our obedience and the hidden places of our hearts. When we choose God’s way over our own way, we find wisdom, peace and the kind of life that reflects Jesus in everything we do.
