Demonstration video of a rare Holmes time lock made in 1884-85 which will be offered shortly on eBay. Yale successfully drove this company into bankruptcy through patent infringement litigation. Yale made part of the settlement, the removal and destruction of the infringing Holmes time locks making these quite rare, only seven of this model are known.

The Holmes is one of the more complex time locks made, with day skipping capabilities as well as under-winding prevention, anti-dynamite protection, and emergency lockout protection.
