Hello there, people! I welcome you to a new dawn in what you can call "my video editing career"! I started this video out in order to see if I can pull off scene-based storytelling in a cleaner kind of manner because I was really overwhelmed by my admiration for the people who are already super good at it (won't name any of them now, you know what I'm talking about).

The important part is that this video represents my entry for the fifth and final round of ITZPYRO's AMV contest. This time, we had to focus on drama and picture the screen blue with feelings of sadness, regret and dismay over the loss of the loved ones. In order to meet these requirements, I decided to try and tell a bit changed version of the original one in the 1999 movie called Jin Roh: The Wolf Brigade, which follows tragic events happening in the period of recovery Japan went through after the nuclear attacks, especially the story of Kazuki Fuse, an expert soldier that served under the special military forces called The Capital Police, that were entrusted to maintain order and protect civilians from the threat of the guerilla group "The Sect". The idea based on which I started editing this AMV presumed an attempt to tell a modern version of the "Little Red Riding Hood" story, but since I began this process way too late, I didn't quite manage to pull that off in my opinion, but you'll see for yourself.

The story, put simply, follows the trouble Fuse faces after finding this little girl dressed in red in the sewers during a guerilla outbreak, and seeing her die later on causes him severe emotional trauma, making her image be forever stuck in his mind. He later meets a girl who looks almost like her and starts being attached to her, but they both face a threat, being hunted by people who planned a scheme in order to take Fuse down for not being fit for his Capital Police soldier position anymore (all because of the nightmares caused by witnessing that little girl's death), scheme at whose root stands Fuse's best friend from the academy, who I showed in a scene giving Fuse a package. While trying to hide together with the girl somewhere deep in the sewers, Fuse somehow loses sight of her and thinks she's dead so he armors up and goes to hunt down his friend about whom he'd eventually found out the truth. Revenge is had and so the story ends. In the end of the clip you see Fuse being shocked that he finds out the girl is alive, but his revenge was not in vain because evil had been put to sleep once and for all and both his name and that of the Wolf Brigade he was part of cleaned for good.

The story in the actual movie is sort of the same, but as I said, I'll let you discover it. :)
