They say the defendants refused to return their security deposit, so they’re suing for the amount they’re owed. The defendants say they were informed one night that the carpets in the house were making one of the plaintiffs very ill, and he was in the hospital. They claim they offered to clean them or even to replace them, but nothing would make the plaintiffs happy. They believe this is nothing more than an excuse to terminate their lease early.
