NOV 2022 UPDATE: HODLNAUT FROZE USER WITHDRAWALS AND I WAS LOCKED OUT OF MY FUNDS. SINCE THEN I HAVE MOVED ALL TOKENS OFF EXCHANGES TO A SELF-CUSTODY WALLET.

Some upsetting crypto news this week.
On Monday I received this email from Hodlnaut:
"We regret to inform you that we will be halting withdrawals, token swaps and deposits with immediate effect. We have reached this difficult decision due to recent market conditions."

As a customer of Hodlnaut who holds some crypto on their platform, this is not good news. However, I try to see the positive side, and use this experience as a learning opportunity that spurs me to make wiser decisions in the future.

I will take fewer risks from now on and research into self-custodial cold wallets such as paper wallet/hardware wallet, because: not your keys, not your coins.
