In this episode of The Historian's Craft we explore five extinct foods that our ancestors ate--aurochs, falernian wine, caecuban wine, passenger pigeons, and the taliaferro apple. Some of these could potentially come back, but that's a maybe. Honorable mention goes to silphium!
