The HIPE Comfort in Tram demonstration shows how it's possible to measure and analyze passenger mood onboard a public transport vehicle and use that information in real time – both to subtly influence passenger behavior through messages on passenger information displays, and to share mood insights with the driver and control center.
The aim is to enhance passenger experience, comfort, and onboard safety. As we move toward autonomous public transport, passenger-aware technologies like this will become increasingly important.
