Autonomous vehicle “Martti” takes on an exciting off-road scenario at the Sodankylä outdoor test track in extreme −28 °C Arctic conditions. The test demonstrates the Sensrad Hugin D1 4D radar together with Martti’s sensor setup, including LiDAR, cameras, and accurate positioning. In this lost cargo scenario, objects such as an exhaust pipe, VRU, and a pallet are placed on the track to challenge the vehicle’s perception system in a realistic winter environment. The test highlights robust autonomous sensing and situational awareness in demanding cold-weather conditions.
