Hilary & Glyn were the British ice dance stars of the mid 1970's and won World and European bronze medals in 1973, silver at both in 1974 and then a silver and bronze at the 1975 Europeans and Worlds. They also won the inaugural Skate Canada event in late 1973.
Stay tuned for the marks and a veritable who's who of Soviet skating coaches sat just behind in the backgroud including Tarasova, Tchaikovskaya and Zhuk.
Hilary & Glyn were trained at Streatham by the geat Peri Horne who, with Courtney Jones invented the Starlight Waltz and the Silver Samba. Both went on to become coaches, Hilary here in the UK and Glyn over in the US where he notably coached a young Katherine Healy.
