An exciting climb to the active volcano Gunung Api in the Banda archipelago. This breathing volcano is not too high, and has an "interesting" height of 666 meters! The climb turned out to be difficult not because of the height, but because of the very high humidity and heat. At the top, I was shocked by the amazing feeling of being between heaven and earth - hot clouds of gas and sulfur escaped from under my feet, and my head plunged into wet and cool clouds! An unforgettable experience that you can't get anywhere else.
From the top of the volcano I saw Banda Besar, Banda Neira, Banda Airport, and the huge passenger ferry leaving for Ambon.
