Highlights from Regent Street Motor Show 2018 (London, UK)
Regent Street was pedestrianised from Piccadilly Circus to Oxford Circus to create a family-friendly environment for everyone to enjoy Motor show 2018.
A whole host of attractions to entertain all ages! A fabulous collection of supercars, next to a showcase of the very latest from Triumph and Renault. Green power also took part in their pit-stop challenge where you could have heart about how they’re challenging young people to design, build and, ultimately, race an electric car. And for anyone who has ever enjoyed any of the Back to the Future films, the DeLorean ‘time machine’ was joining the street straight from the film-set, complete with gull-wing doors and flux capacitor. The car was the perfect backdrop for the elite song and dance group – West End Kids – who performed at 30 minutes past each hour throughout the Show.
Illinois Route 66 Zone, brought to you by the Show’s title partner, the state of Illinois. Some stunning examples of iconic American cars.
Marvellous more than 100 pioneering pre-1905 horseless carriages that are on Regent Street ahead of participating in the following day’s annual Bonhams London to Brighton Run supported by Hiscox, in the Bonhams Veteran Car Zone – the biggest and best example of a veteran car Concours d’Elegance in the world and with the Movember Foundation.
At the Classic Motoring zone it was plenty cars to enjoy. Volkswagen Beetle celebrates the 80th anniversary. 2018 also marks some major anniversaries for Jaguar as well, and so we’re delighted that the Jaguar Drivers’ Club joined the show to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the XK120 and Mk V Saloon, and the 50th anniversary of the Jaguar XJ.
