Description
As education technology advances and higher education institutions continue to transform teaching and learning in the face of COVID disruptions, the place of higher education microcredentials is rapidly changing in Australia and India. Policymakers, institutional leaders and educators in both countries are interested in opportunities for shorter-form courses to encourage lifelong learning in quality education, position students to transition successfully to employment, and rapidly upskill workers.
Complementing other webinars on education technology and opportunities in the school education, coaching and test preparation sectors, this webinar explored the emerging regulatory frameworks, platforms and practices around higher education microcredentials. We heard about innovations encouraging increased participation in quality higher education, lifelong learning, upskilling and articulation to further education. We explored opportunities and challenges associated with collaboration between India and Australia on higher education microcredentials.
