Hidden Voices was born from a brilliant idea by my dear friend Dmitri, a visionary from California. Inspired by his dream of an event where masks would cloak identities, we set out to create a safe space for individuals to share their stories freely, unburdened by judgment or stigma.

With the help of our enthusiastic volunteers recruited from Indeed.com—Kendahl, Sharleen, Fernando, Ariyanna, and Corinne—we transformed Dmitri's vision into reality. Together, we curated an enchanting evening where anonymity met authenticity, and stories found their voice.

On a crisp Saturday evening, February 24th, from 6 to 8 pm, Hidden Voices came to life. Nestled in the warm embrace of Fountain Gallery, generously provided by our gracious hosts, we embarked on a journey of storytelling and connection.

Thanks to the generous donations from Wegmans Supermarket, our guests indulged in a delectable snacks and beverages. With tummies satisfied and spirits high, we delved into the heart of the evening's festivities.

Among the masked throngs, stories blossomed like flowers in spring. Tamara and her shy daughter Gabby stepped into the spotlight, bravely challenging social anxieties and embracing the power of vulnerability. Kendahl's raw honesty stirred hearts as she shared her journey of resilience and growth.
