In tribute to National Women’s History month and to the brave women who have served and continue to serve our country, we share this special video featuring three Japanese American Cadet Nurse Corps nurses. In their efforts to prove their loyalty as Americans, Alice Noguchi Kanagaki, Kiyo Sato and Mary Tamura share their personal stories and unique experiences. In 2022, we filmed their oral history interviews as part of our “Unsung Service: Preserving the Japanese American Cadet Nurse Corps project which is funded by a National Park Service Japanese American Confinement Sites Grant.
