Here are some experiments using the AI tools, DeOldify and Topaz Sharpen (and a bit of GIMP) to produce the best images I can of the planets Hermes, Apollo, Aquatania, & Cygnii in the Flash Gordon 1954 Series, Ep. 23 "The Water World Menace" and Ep. 34. "Death in the Negative".
All is not as it seems with these planets, pointing to the existence of a conspiracy of galactic proportions hidden for the last 70 years, or it could just be that the makers of the series shamelessly cut corners to keep within ridiculous budget and time constraints. You decide!
