In May 2023 American Ballet Theatre (ABT) principal dancer Herman Cornejo made his MetLiveArts debut with “The Apartment,” a new work he choreographed as part of Catalyst Quartet's 2022–23 Met residency. Set to Astor Piazzolla's passionate “Suite del Ángel,” the piece chronicles the internal struggle of a person in a competitive, impersonal society, his inner demons threatening to swallow his humanity at every step.
