Today I’m checking out the Heritage Guitars Ascent+ H-150 — a seriously impressive single-cut electric guitar that blends classic Les Paul-style tone with modern playability.
In this demo, I run through clean tones and crunch, and fuzz tones to see what this guitar can really do in a mix.
The Ascent+ H-150 features a mahogany body and neck with a carved maple top, giving it that classic warmth, sustain, and punch you’d expect from a single-cut design. It also includes a compound radius rosewood fingerboard (12”–16”), jumbo frets, and a super comfortable contoured heel for easy upper fret access — something you don’t always get on this style of guitar.
One of the standout features is the push-pull coil split humbuckers, which let you switch between thick humbucker tones and brighter single-coil-style sounds, making this a really versatile guitar for rock, blues, and even indie rock or country. It’s also surprisingly lightweight and resonant thanks to weight relief, and overall just feels like a “step-up” instrument — perfect if you’re looking for your first serious electric guitar or a solid gigging option without breaking the bank.
