I've been seriously impressed with everything I've heard and played from Guild Guitars over the past few years. They have made some splashes in the budget friendly guitar space - in both their electric and acoustic guitar lines - and the DS-240E is no exception.
The DS-240E is a beautiful and approachable slope shoulder dreadnought from Guild. With its vintage inspired design appointments and elegant bound body and gloss finish, the DS-240E not only sounds good but looks great. The solid sitka spruce top and mahogany back and sides give it a rich full sound with plenty of low end presence and top end sparkle.
The DeArmond Tone Boss pickup in this guitar is a unique and fun inclusion - a magnetic style pickup giving a focused yet organic sound. The DS-240E sounds great mic'd up or plugged in, and the Tone Boss pickup opens up avenues of creativity when paired with your favorite pedals and amps.
