I just couldn’t wait any longer to show give you a taste of the new Fano GF6 Alt De Facto, so here it is!
This week has been about getting acquainted to a new room, new processes, new lighting; so many adjustments to get settled into the new space and workflow. It feels like we’re about 90% of the way there with the look and feel (still a decent amount to do behind the scenes here over the near-term)...but it’s exciting to be able to share some sights and sounds from this dream instrument.
The combination of the Korina semi-hollow body and Lollar Regals in this GF6 give it so much power and character. It is bold and present - with rich, full cleans and that sweet blend of sparkle and top-end compression.
It’s also SO fun to put some of these amps through their paces a bit in the new space. The Matchless SC30 sits securely in my Top 5 and just sings and sparkles like you’d expect a Matchless to do. Add in some ambience from the Strymon Volante and BigSky and we’re really in business.

Of course, the right instrumentation and production are important too, and well touch on that along with my choice of guitars and amps. While I dont get too obsessive over 100% accuracy, the gear listed below gets me pretty dang close to The War On Drugs sound.
