Steve and Linda Oikawa - Hemodialysis - Getting Over A Fear Of Needles
When Steve Oikawa first started dialysis, his wife, Linda, did not think she would be able to help him with his treatment.
She was particularly worried about administering needles. However, through training and with lots of help from the team at the Scarborough Health Network, Linda became comfortable with every part of the treatment.
Today, Linda has administered hundreds of needles. Just goes to show what a good and supportive medical team can do for patients.
The Scarborough Health Network has sponsored the creation of over a hundred educational videos for type 2 diabetes and chronic kidney disease.
