Steve and Linda Oikawa - Going On Dialysis: What I Wish I Knew
Steve Oikawa has been on dialysis for two and a half years. He was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease about 10 years ago.
Although Steve still leads a rich and full life, he does wish he had followed a healthier lifestyle when he was younger.
If he had known that dialysis was in his future, he may have made some lifestyle changes to avoid this outcome.
But he remains optimistic. In the end, he’s just happy that there’s a treatment for his disease.
The Scarborough Health Network has sponsored the creation of over a hundred educational videos for type 2 diabetes and chronic kidney disease.
