How to make the Hemingway Daiquiri (AKA Hemingway Special). Ernest Hemingway, the inspiration for The Most Interesting Man in the World, didn't always drink Daiuiris, but when he did, he preferred them without sugar. Or at least, that's how the legend goes.

Either way, this drink was named after the famous author and makes for a great, citrus-forward cocktail. This drink has many different origins and stories, depending on who you choose to believe. It is also has many names, including, The Hemingway Daiquirí and the Papa Doble, and different ways of preparing it.

This recipe, however, comes from the bar manual of the famous 1930's Havana watering hole, Sloppy Joe's. So be sure to have this drink by your side the next time you sit down to read Papa Hemingway. It pairs especially well with To Have and Have Not. Salud!

1.5 oz White Rum
1.5 oz Grapefruit Juice
1 Teaspoon Maraschino Liqueur
0.5 oz Lime Juice
Mint
Club Soda
