Hundreds of baby sturgeon are collected on the Big Manistee River and raised just steps from where they hatched. The streamside facility keeps their connection to the river intact, helping them imprint on this water so they’ll return as adults. With minimal filtering and careful care, these ancient fish have about an 80% survival rate.
