In this series, I take on the project of creating a replica of Hellboy's Samaritan pistol along with a custom storage case. The pistol is crafted from cast aluminum and timber, capturing the essence of the iconic movie prop. It's designed to look and feel like the real deal, with a moving trigger and cylinder, although it doesn't shoot.
For the storage case, I modified an old army ammo box to fit the pistol. This involved some basic adjustments and adding protective foam to snugly house the Samaritan.
Throughout the video, I'll walk you through each step of the process. From the initial casting of the aluminium to the woodworking for the pistol's grip, and then onto the modifications made to the ammo box to turn it into a suitable case.
