The orinal props were based on a sketchs by Aliens director James Cameron and built by British film armorers Bapty & Co. and consisted of an M1A1 Thompson and a cut-down Remington 870 as the grenade launcher, which was mounted underneath the Thompson's barrel and covered with the forend and heatshield of a Franchi SPAS-12 fitted the 870's action. Finished with a futuristic, custom-made aluminum shell painted in "Brown Bess" paint (although due to on-set lighting, they often appear olive green in Aliens). Several were capable of firing blanks although only one "hero" prop had a functioning shotgun unit.

$Metal Marvels Hulk Build Part 2 The Hulk is the first one in this experimental series that Im calling Metal Marvels, if it works it should see doing a full range of characters made in the cast aluminium. The Hulk is a fictional superhero created by writer Stan Lee and artist Jack Kirby, who first appeared in the debut issue of the comic book The Incredible Hulk in May 1962 published by Marvel Comics. In his comic book appearances, the character is both the Hulk, a green-skinned, hulking and muscular humanoid possessing a vast degree of physical strength. Following his accidental exposure to gamma radiation during the detonation of an experimental bomb, Bruce Banner is physically transformed into the Hulk when subjected to emotional stress, at or against his will, often leading to destructive rampages and conflicts that complicate Banners civilian life. The Hulks level of strength is normally conveyed as proportionate to his level of anger—in other words, Hulks strength increases alongside his anger and is therefore potentially limitless. Commonly portrayed as a raging savage, the Hulk has been represented with other personalities based on Banners fractured psyche, from a mindless, destructive force, to a brilliant warrior, or genius scientist in his own right.$
