Here are a couple of Durapack 7000s which Scott and I filmed while out filming last December. The first truck was filmed in a beautiful (or not so beautiful) little town called Earlimart, and it's from a hauler called Tule Trash (pronounced too-lee, not 'tool'). But I still call it 'Tool Trash' anyway lol. Back to the truck.. it appears to be your typical Pete 320 Durapack 7000 until you hear it operating. It has a very unique sound given off by the hydraulic pump which is anything but typical of this age group of trucks. Had you only heard it a street over, you'd expect to roll up on an early 90s truck. And that made it pretty neat in my opinion. However it wasn't running in the prettiest of places so we made it kind of quick.
The next truck you'll see come the second clip in the video is one of the City of Tulare's Condor DP7000s. Again a pretty average truck in the way of operation, but its pretty neat in that it has a low hopper wall with a partially exposed packer follower. Something you typically see on older bodies only. There was another truck running here as well which appeared to operate much faster as made evident by the flipped lids up and down every street, but he must have been unloading at the time as he was nowhere to be found.
