So I figured out how to fix the carb . . . . Okay, not really, but a frontend swap was always part of the plan for this car so here we go!
I have been planning to Mustang II swap the front end of this wagon since day one, but as many of you know it's not exactly cheap nor is it really just a day's work to get it complete. This video officially kicks off the process of completing a Heidts Mustang II front end swap on the 1965 Chevy Nova Wagon. This wasn't exactly the kit I was planning to go with but when facebook marketplace provides you with a good deal right in your backyard you jump on it and hit the ground running, especially when your trying to keep a budget in check.
Fortunately, the '65 gave of the stock front clip without too much hassle and the stuck bolts was very minimal, a few needed the assistance of some Kroil. At the end of the day out with the old worn out poor handing factory suspension and in with the new (to me anyway) Mustang II Heidts front clip. Now this car should drive like it's right out of the 80's instead of the 60's!
Here's a like to the closest version of this kit that Heidts currently sells. It's a little fancier than the one I just installed, but essentially the same unit.
