Hello and welcome to Old Ways Gardening and Prepping.🍀 Would like to welcome you each to come along with us on this beautiful first day of Summer. We have to meet up with a beautiful lady to pick up our Solomon's seal plants and then heading to the Coon Dog Cemetery.
We had a absolutely wonderful little adventure and wanted to bring you along for beautiful scenery and to see historical landmarks. Too many people don't take the time to enjoy the beauty that surrounds them and that is a saddening thought. There is so much history that is out there that is not taught in school and very under appreciated. Me and Jr always look forward to learning about as much as possible that surrounds us. Plus the fact that we absolutely love day trips in nature and historical areas.
Here is a little bit of information about the Coon Dog Cemetery and the link to learn more. The Coon Dog Cemetery in Colbert County, Alabama, is a unique pet cemetery established in 1937 by Key Underwood for his coon dog, Troop, and is now the final resting place for hundreds of certified coon hounds from across the country. It's a popular, peaceful tourist attraction where dogs must meet strict criteria to be buried, including being verified as an authentic coon dog by the Tennessee Valley Coon Hunters Association. The site features various headstones and hosts an annual Labor Day celebration.

We had a absolutely delicious dinner at a Mexican restaurant that was one of the best we have been to in a long time. For once everything was cooked fresh when ordered and you could tell the difference.
