Murali Sreeshankar clinched the silver medal in the men's long jump with a best leap of 8.09m, securing his second consecutive Commonwealth Games silver after also finishing runner-up at the previous edition.

Speaking to the media after the event, Murali opened up about the career-threatening injury he suffered just before the Paris Olympics.

He dedicated this silver medal to everyone who doubted whether he would ever compete again.
