There have been several digital video hacks for the Coco over the years. For whatever reason, I never ended up with one, so I decided to create my own. This uses simple through-hole components that can easily be sourced, with no complex programming. The Tang Nano 9K (a $30 FPGA board) is the workhorse of the solution, together with some 74LVC245 level converters. This gives us HDMI output on the coco-2, while preserving the existing MC6847 and existing RF or composite output. This solution has only been tested on my Coco-2, and most certainly will not work on the Coco-3. There are several revisions of the coco motherboard, with 6847 and RF modulator in different positions and this may not fit all of them. For more vintage computer projects, see smbaker.com
