In this video, I show the latest power supply I built, pretty much assembled from off the shelf components. There are three choices for source power supply - a pair of 20V dewalt lithium batteries, a 2.1x5.5mm jack, or a USB-C jack with an internal boost converter to boost to 14.5V, which is then regulated down by the RD6006 to the desired target voltage. The pair of dewalt batteries worked out great, but the USB-C/boost converter was a little more problematic -- turns out a capacitor on the boost converter failed.
