As mentioned in the comments, the muffler has a drain hole that must point down. And a drain hole is required at the 90 degree bend if your exhaust pipe is orientated this way.
I have now adjusted the exhaust as advised in the comments and it is now flat and pointing slightly downwards, I will cover the muffler with a boiler vent flue cage.
Fit a carbon monoxide alarm and don't rely on the remote control alarm!

Note, this unit can also just blow outside unheated air in to keep the workshop ventilated.

I have considered one of these since last winter.
As the running costs are lower than my current fan heater I decided to finally get one.
Pretty straightforward installation.
Says weather proof but I don't think so.
Controller can be mounted inside with the extension wire and could be extended as required.
Puts out a good flow of hot air.
We just went in to a mild spell so I will update when it is cold again.
