Very small HBO supper high pressure mercury discharge lamp lamp being started with an external small Tesla Coil. Lamp is connected to a current and voltage limited supply set for 3A. Attempts to reduce the current while running cause the lamp to extinguish. It’s very easy to damage these lamps and the current must be limited. Over pressure may also extinguish the lamp. While running the voltage was around 10V.
