This believe it or not 2 year old project is dedicated to 2 specially beautiful friends Wolfie & Ebb! Now before I go into why this gift is so freakin old I must say a few words to/about them:

We've known each other for two years as well; and I know that because I was working on this project when we first started talking, lol. I remember telling you about it because you liked Dolphin Tale (where this song is from). This is the first gift I've given ya too. Since then its been a joy knowing you and seeing you shine on YT through your vids and mega Hiccstrid love! Its always a joy talking to you (around the timezones that is ;) and I hope you find your wings in life.

And I've seen you at your best and also worse here through YT, and even in person. And most of all for being my friend inside and out *winks* I pray you get through this dark valley of life's struggles you've been in and reach the mountain top! Alright so why has this gift taken two years again? Right, well for starters, I have a confession: Anyone who is born the first week of any month is just doomed to be late by me for gifts. Ya see I have this horrible mindset where:
"September 30th- ohh its still September I have plenty time...
October 1st- OMG its October I gotta get crackin on that gift.....holy crap their in 3-4 days, I'm screwed."
Thats me every year I swear... But I'm getting dramatic here.
I was originally making it for you, Wolf, in 2014 (I didn't know when your B-day was yet back then, Ebb) because its such an adventurous song and to me it fit you in your bravery going west (and now abroad!) in pursuit of your dream(s), but when it passed and I still hadn't finished I got discouraged and the inspiration completely evaporated for this and I gave up on it....till I guess this year. Its always been hanging in the back of my mind because I put a lot of effort into it in 2014; in fact, 0:11-1:14 + 1:45-2:28 + the ending clip was all editing done two years ago. (Yeah I typically make choruses last, IDK I'm weird.) That piano note effect I tested out looks so bad in the beginning, *apologies on that; I tried fixing them* but in two years I've at least learned an easier way to do them so they look better elsewhere, I think. I gotta ask, does my editing look better or worse from two years ago?? Cause I feel my style has shifted from those fast-paced scenes -despite this being an upbeat song. I need opinions, plz!
My favorite part in this song is the lines: "We move oooonnnn" Its not only a slight Circle pun we share but it compliments Dragons so well. The thing I love most about the HTTYD series is how it keep growing! I mean from that first movie we got short films (LOTBK, BOD, & GOTNF) then the TV shows ROB & DOB, then video games/apps, HTTYD2 sequel (Plus DOTDR) and RTTE (which is getting even longer I hear with 2 more season, whoo!!). Not to mention the original book series and now Comics coming out. ALL of it expands the Dragon universe in a very unified way yet "never forgets"..... Need I go on? Bringing ALL this into the project (or at least trying) helped revive it lets just say.

Okay....so I manged to pull an old project outta the shadows and make one final upload before school starts. HA!
Ive had A LOT of inspiration for Star Wars lately. This was the 1st one I started once The Last Jedi came out in HD and Ive been dragging my feet on the last 10 secs I suppose. Eh, it always looks better in my head than on YT but oh well.
I FREAKIN CANNOT WAIT FOR EPISODE IX THIS YEAR!!!! OMG, next to HTTYD3, & Frozen 2, THIS movie has me most hyped. I guess its my most anticipated live action film you could say. Dont get me wrong, I am SUPER PUMPED for Marvel with End Game but.....IDK, Star Wars has more of my heart right now. Maybe it was how Infinity War ended. It was good but didnt it leave ya with a kinda numb, dead feeling inside when you walked out of the theater?? I know The Last Jedi is the most criticized, hated Star Wars film by most, but for me, it is my FAVORITE! And when I walked outta that theater after first watching it, Im still reeling from it all to this day. xD
Also this is my 2nd vid after upgrading to Vegas Pro 16. I would say yay but, eh ever since MAGIX bought out Vegas from Sony I feel its gotten much more unstable. Editing vids now is such an ordeal; it seems to crash all the time now! Hopefully itll get patched up. On the plus side, I have a ton load of new effects I dont know what to do with. I used several here....maybe thats why it crashes every 5 mins. Ugh.

I kept the letterbox (black bars), or made it non-fullscreen. That is a first since my very very very 1st HTTYD vid. Why you ask? Well, Ive been into the cinematic editing style and trying to mimic it. Black bars isnt necessary but it seems cooler. The key technique that makes it cinematic IMHO, are Action Cuts/Transitions. So thats what I was practicing here...at least 1:03 to the end. Thats the only part Id say to qualify as being more cinematic, but its still a mess. Cinematic has become my favorite style of editing I would like to master xD
