HEHE HAPPY EDL ONCE AGAIN
Like usual, I will repeat what EDL is: on the 26th of September the diversity of languages and cultures, as well as the learning of languages, is celebrated. I love languages and cultures a lot, and is something I have dedicated a lot of time to studying in school and university as well. The day was established on this day every year since late 2001, but we have been celebrating it since 2016 because of a teacher I had who was very passionate about this. She made us transform our school, decorate with flags, create small activities and sell homebaked goods on this day since we were the ones with the languages and culture major. It was something we looked forward to every year for those three years of studying there. I was inspired to create something with my friends as well, and EDL has now been celebrated here in the editing community by us every year since 2016 (though a lot of us forgot in 2020). I wonder what my teacher would think if she knew that her legacy influenced me to spread it further to others, which has caused the server and event to grow little by little every year 🥹 Its a small thing, but Im very happy that more and more people are interested
OKAY FOR THE VIDEO. This is the third song I went for, but I had many candidates and started working on two other songs before this one 😭 I dropped the first one bc it would have to be all mmv and Im not crazy enough to think Id be able to finish almost three minutes of that in a month. So I started to work on something else, but lost motivation bc I was unhappy with the Kabumisu part 😩 So I just sat on Spotify for like an entire evening and stumbled across this song. Its very nice but- MAN DOES NOT ARTICULATE. THERE ARE ALSO NO OFFICIAL LYRICS FOR THIS SONG 🔫 So I had to sit and really listen and slowly figure it out. Then I just. Could not figure out a part and asked my sibling, mom and a friend for help 😭 They couldnt hear it either but my friend managed to find some pieces of the lyrics on TikTok (which I dont use out of self-preservation so I didnt evem think of it 😭) for me ans it was the bit of lyrics I coulsnt figure out!! So 😎 Now, if any bit of this is wrong its on him for not articulating 🔫 (it adds to the song tho so Ill forgive him)
I had a lot of fun editing this, tbh! Its not the greatest thing Ive edited but I had a great time. It took around 4-6 hours to render tho, and I kept rerendering as I discovered things that were off, and I still see things I want to change, but Im not rendering it again 😭 Its been like 5 times. Anyway!!! I tried to repeat all couples in the beginning (since I edited that bit last) and I was so pleased that I managed to fit them all in there and then I was like- HUALIAN- but Hualian get the outro all to themself SO ITS FINE AHAHAHAHAH But I was very happy to edit with some of my favourite pairings and this song, I always enjoy getting to edit with Swedish tbh, ever since Ive discovered more of our music industry. I had a lot of fun with this tbh. I just let myself do whatever I wanted to do, and I decided to go for fun and summer, because fun is also emotional, and I wanted to make it symbolic for how fun life can be with friends and family. I actually tried two completely different AMVs too, but eventually settled for this one, and I had so much fun 🥺 After a long time of thinking (and my familys input) I decided to name it just that too HAHAHA, fun

I wanted to go with an art theme, bc I love the art style of Frieren, so I did my best to make some scenes look like moving anime panels 🫡 Honestly, it was so much fun. This amv was the first one in a long time that I edited something that was just for myself (the new one is also the same) and it was just really nice 🥹 I had so much fun, and I just really love these two so much AAAAAAAA. I was always going to read Frieren bc they recommend it if you like Witch Hat, but I took so long to even get around to it and then the anime was announced, and I decided that Ill just watch the anime and then decide if I wanted to read.
