This year I went to NärCon with many of my friends. I hope everyone else had just as much fun as I did, I love you guys ❤️ I'm really happy you guys came here!! It was a very special experience and I had so much fun. Thank you ❤️
So I entered the AMV contest and there were 12 submissions, and I got third place??? I'm still really surprised about that tbh since I was expecting to rank lower, but I'm very grateful and especially grateful for my friends' support. Thank you so much ❤️ YOU GUYS TOTALLY OUTED ME DURING THE COMPETITION THOUGH HAHHAHAH. Also thank you to my mom and brother for the amount of beta-testing I made them do HAHAHAHAH ❤️
I had a lot of fun with this tbh. I just let myself do whatever I wanted to do, and I decided to go for fun and summer, because fun is also emotional, and I wanted to make it symbolic for how fun life can be with friends and family. I actually tried two completely different AMVs too, but eventually settled for this one, and I had so much fun 🥺 After a long time of thinking (and my family's input) I decided to name it just that too HAHAHA, fun

AAAAAA THIS AMV HAS BEEN DONE FOR A WHILE but I havent uploaded it bc I was gonna use it for Närcons amv contest BUT THEN I MADE A NEW AMV IN LESS THAN A WEEK AND HAD THREE PEOPLE WATCH THEM AND HELP ME DECIDE and they all said go with the new one, so here is this one 😎
I wanted to go with an art theme, bc I love the art style of Frieren, so I did my best to make some scenes look like moving anime panels 🫡 Honestly, it was so much fun. This amv was the first one in a long time that I edited something that was just for myself (the new one is also the same) and it was just really nice 🥹 I had so much fun, and I just really love these two so much AAAAAAAA. I was always going to read Frieren bc they recommend it if you like Witch Hat, but I took so long to even get around to it and then the anime was announced, and I decided that Ill just watch the anime and then decide if I wanted to read. And bro 🥹 Just like everyone else I fell in love AAAAAA

This was my submission this year for Närcon 2024. I ended up making two and then I asked a friend, my mom and my sibling which one they thought I should send in 😭 They chose this one for me HEHE. THANKS FOR THE HELP KAM, MOM, HUGO
I knew that I was way in over my head really, but my goal was to make it as a finalist and I did, so I was happy. Lowkey regretted it a little tho during the showing since I didnt expect so many people to be there 😭 Shoutout to mom who held my hand during my amv bc I was so stressed AHAHAHAH. The amvs shown were so good tho !! It was a lot of fun to watch them. I was happy we were inside too bc it was raining AHAHAH. The only time it rained during the con tho, we got lucky !!
Going to the con was a lot of fun 🥹 I walked around as vacation!Marcille, Frieren and Furina. Im sad to be going home today, but I also miss my cat so much so Im also really happy to be going home, I just wanted to cosplay more and walk around on the con more 😔 Its also good for my wallet to be going home tho, otherwise I wouldve kept buying stuff from artist alley
As for the amv !! I edited it in a week. Its one of those I got possessed over and just wouldnt stop editing for, but it was fun. I was walking to work one day and the song came on, and I was reminded of how much I wanted to edit it. So on my next day off I was like ITS TIME 😭 I truly love these two so much. For the title I was like, still or stand still is an awfully boring title 😭 So I forced my mom and sibling to pick one with me. We ended up picking melting time bc even tho they wouldve liked more time together, fhey cant freeze time, which I tried to show with at first making the scenes go at like 0.5 speed and then suddenlg its 2x speed. Bc time just melts away GET IT. Its also a referemcr to the persistence of memory nc that painting feels very Frieren-coded to me. anyway thats it IM TYPING THIS WHILE HALF ASLEEP")

Editing this was stressful but it was fun at the same time aaaaa. I went to Närcon with Ame and Mo this year AAAA but I actually just dropped them off at the station and my HEART IS BROKEN RN. But!! We went to the con together and so I really wanted to join the contest, because idk, theres just something really fun about watching it together on the big screen ifaif. It sucked a little though because the contest was so late, there was no stream and we had to leave early to catch the bus, so I havent seen all submitted amvs:( But they got to watch this at the con because it was shown early, and we got to see Gomibakos submission which we really wanted to watch, so were happy about that!!
I was very happy to edit with Violet and this song, so even though Im not super fond of some things I did, this amv is still kinda special to me!! I will always love Violet and Gil, so making something with them again made me happy! I didnt completely follow the lyrics, but I hope the story (which is basically just their story) that I edited is easy to follow
There was no audience choice this year which was surprising, but Im happy with who they chose as the three winners, it was definitely deserved. Idk what my ranking is because they didnt release that this year, idk why but its ok!!
