Wombats sleep for up to 16 hours a day, so they want to be comfy! This is Cassie, and she's decided not to eat this hay but instead collect it up and turn it into some comfortable bedding.

In the wild, wombats have been found to fill bedding chambers in their burrows with bracken fronds, eucalypt leaves and twigs, strips of bark, and sometimes small tussocks of Poa grass and the leaves of other plants.
