Today is World UFO Day — the perfect excuse to revisit a few strange signals from local screens 👽️
From ‘Under the Mountain’ to ‘The Boy from Andromeda’, New Zealand has long had a soft spot for stories that feel just a little out of this world.
And then there’s 1999, when Havoc and Newsboy took their 90s energy on the road in ‘Havoc and Newsboy’s Sell-Out Tour’.
In one particularly memorable stop, the duo follow a trail of “intel” to Waihopai near Blenheim, home to the unmistakably alien-looking intelligence base — all white domes and razor wire, sitting quietly among the Marlborough vineyards 😶🌫️ Naturally, Havoc turns up in a werewolf mask, while Newsboy goes full alien.
