My AI GPU farm hit another unexpected problem...
One of my RTX 3080 AI servers started overheating while fully rented on Vast.ai, forcing me to tear it apart, replace thermal pads, apply fresh MX-6 thermal paste, and troubleshoot airflow issues inside the server chassis.
At the same time, my AI rental income has been slowing down as Vast.ai occupancy continues dropping after the recent PRL mining slowdown, making uptime and reliability more important than ever.
To make matters worse...my RTX 5090 suddenly disappeared from Vast.ai and may have suffered a much bigger problem.
