BAFTA | Haus am Hung and La Soledad wins the Yugo Student Choice Award | BAFTA @bafta | Uploaded September 2024 | Updated October 2024, 21 hours ago.
In July, we presented the first ever Yugo Student Choice Award, presented by our title sponsor Yugo. The winning films were select by Yugo students who watched and selected their favorite amongst the finalist films. The winners were Haus am Hung and La Soledad.
Haus am Hung was directed by Konstantin Münzel from Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg in Germany.
La Soledad was directed by María Conchita Díaz from Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica, A.C. in Mexico.
Haus am Hung takes place in an institution for juvenile offenders, where inmate Jurek finds himself caught in a delicate tension between attraction and aggression with newcomer Sascha.
La Soledad tells the story of sisters Aurelia and Antonia. Aurelia spends her life alone in the countryside, until one night Antonia knocks on her door. Between the bewilderment and anger at the visit, Aurelia agrees to live with her sister who shows strange behavior and little by little she will discover what is behind it.
We thank our Title Sponsor at Yugo, as well as our Official Airline Partners at Delta, and Virgin Atlantic for their ongoing support.
