To make the La Florida Daiquiri:
1 oz fresh lime juice
1 tsp bar sugar
1 tsp maraschino liqueur
2 oz light Puerto Rican rum
Finger squeeze lime juice over 1 1/2 scoops shaved ice in container of electric drink mixer. Add remaining ingredients. Blend. Pour into chilled tiki stem champagne glass.

To make the the drink in the video:
Commando Grog by Jason Alexander
.75 oz lime juice
1.5 oz grapefruit juice
.5 oz orgeat
.5 oz cinnamon syrup
.5 oz allspice dram
.5 oz falernum
1.5 oz Plantation OFTD
1.5 oz moderately aged rum
Pour ingredients into mixing tin. Mix on high with one scoop of pebble ice. Served in a brandy snifter.

Ive always enjoyed watching reaction videos, but the idea of creating one for my own channel never crossed my mind... until just a few days ago. Surprisingly, a TV pilot in which I participated over a decade ago resurfaced this week, revealing the origin story of my home tiki bar! Its a bit cringe-worthy to watch – I appear young and awkward on camera, and it basically stars my ex-girlfriend. There are numerous reasons why this might be a questionable idea. Guess who over-poured and what the ingredient was. It wasnt pretty.
Earlier this week, Pinup Palmer visited The Breezeway to shoot a segment for her Christmas Special. She tasked me with crafting a cocktail, and heres the result: The Spikelikimaka (yes, I know how dumb the name is). Catch her show premiering this Saturday at 2pm PST@pinuppalmer
To make the Spikelikimaka:
1oz lime
3/4oz white grapefruit
1/2oz Aperol
1/2oz amaretto
3/4oz cinnamon syrup
1/4oz ginger syrup
1/2oz all spice
1 1/2oz pot still black
1/2oz 151 Demerara
2 dashes angostura bitters
Shake with ice cubes and double strain into your finest crystal coupe. Dust with grated nutmeg and garnish with two mint leaves and a Luxardo cherry.
